The Crimson Ghosts
20 years after its original release, The Crimson Ghosts return with a completely remixed and remastered edition of “Carpe Mortem”, the band's second album, originally released in 2006. For its 20th anniversary, “Carpe Mortem” has been remixed and remastered at Casket Garden Studio and features completely new artwork. The anniversary edition will be released on September 18, 2026 as a double LP and digital release. The physical edition contains the complete original album on the first two sides, while the third side features seven bonus tracks documenting different moments from the band's history around the “Carpe Mortem” era: The gatefold LP also includes a large collection of photographs from the years between “Leaving the Tomb” and “Carpe Mortem”, together with extensive liner notes by Nim Vind and Jackal. Each double LP contains two different vinyl colours, making every physical copy unique. The first glimpse of the anniversary edition, “Mephisto”, has already been released as a digital single and is accompanied by an official music video. The release coincides with the band's 20th Anniversary Release Show at Sonic Ballroom in Cologne on September 18, 2026, where The Crimson Ghosts will perform “Carpe Mortem” in its entirety. 20 years after the original something sinister is coming back.
