Über den Song
Black Mode delivers "Hex" on Modular States, a Peak Time / Driving Techno single built for high-impact moments on the floor. The instrumental track moves on a driving groove with raw energy and hypnotic pressure, layering modern acid textures over a weighty low end and taut atmospheric tension. A big fan of classic horror cinema, Black Mode set out to make a scary techno track, shaping the breakdown around the mood of Friday The 13th and Halloween. That cinematic unease surfaces in the arrangement, where the momentum drops away before the acid lines and percussion rebuild toward the peak. It reflects his developing sound, centered on hypnotic elements and club-focused structure drawn from the contemporary peak-time scene.
