Über den Song
“The Weight” is a deeply moving country/Americana song about depression, resilience and the invisible burdens people carry. With evocative storytelling, rich harmonies and haunting pedal steel from Shane Reilly, No PROMISES capture the experience of looking fine on the outside while carrying something much heavier underneath. Dedicated to the memory of Janine’s friend Peter Bell, all streaming royalties from the song will be donated to mental health music charity Listen Up Music.
