Riley Rowan
Atlanta-based songwriter Riley Rowan presents his latest single, “Here's Hopin”. The song blends the emotional intimacy of French chanson with the melodic warmth of Americana. Produced by five-time Grammy Award winner Ray Kennedy, “Here's Hopin” features an exceptional ensemble of musicians whose credits include Adele, Wilco, Tanya Tucker, Brandi Carlile, and Miley Cyrus. The recording, done in Nashville, Tennessee, USA, features Peter Randall, bassist on Adele's 2016–2017 world tour; Ken Coomer, founding drummer of Wilco and former member of Uncle Tupelo; and Brian Seligman, founding member of Birdtalker and longtime guitarist for Tanya Tucker, whose credits also include Brandi Carlile and Miley Cyrus. Angie Robba delivers the expressive lead vocals. Beneath the song’s buoyant acoustic arrangement lies a bittersweet portrait of love, betrayal, and the difficulty of letting go. The recurring refrain, “Here's hoping,” captures the contradiction at the song's heart: recognizing that a relationship is broken while still clinging to the possibility that it might somehow be repaired. Combining accomplished Nashville musicianship with distinctly European romantic melancholy, “Here's Hopin” offers an intimate, melodic, and emotionally resonant listening experience.
