No Promises
Australian alt-country duo No PROMISES unveil "Siren", the title track and focus track from their forthcoming third studio album of the same name, along with an incredible music video from Yewafilms, on 24th July. Drawing inspiration from the mystical atmosphere of Fleetwood Mac classics like Rhiannon and Sisters of the Moon, Siren is a hypnotic, hook-filled anthem that captures the magic of '70s West Coast country rock while forging a sound entirely its own. Built around one unforgettable chorus, the song tells the story of an enchanting Siren whose irresistible call blurs the line between freedom and temptation. Rich in moonlit imagery, mystery and mythology, it's a song that pulls listeners in from the opening note and refuses to let go. Musically, Siren is the centrepiece of the album. Eric Collier's masterful lead guitar work drives the song with unforgettable riffs and melodic hooks, while acclaimed producer Matt Fell lays down a powerful, groove-laden bass line that propels every chorus. Josh Schuberth's tribal-inspired drumming gives the track its heartbeat, creating a hypnotic pulse that perfectly complements Janine Garvey's captivating lead vocal and signature harmonies. Produced, engineered and mixed by Matt Fell and mastered by William Bowden, Siren represents No PROMISES at their most confident and ambitious. It follows recent single Wildside, a finalist in the 2026 Listen Up Music Songwriting Competition, and serves as the standout focus track from the forthcoming album. Catchy and impossible to shake, Siren is a song that feels instantly familiar while sounding refreshingly new a modern Australian classic inspired by one of music’s greatest eras.
