Elektromonta.z
Polish DJ and producer Elektromonta.z arrives on IAMT Raw with "Cicada tears," a single rooted in the label's raw, deep, hypnotic techno remit for the deep-night stretch when the crowd stops watching the booth. Built in his studio near Legnica, the instrumental takes its identity from the cicada, his favourite creature, translated into hi-hats that run through most of the piece and set a pulsating, driving groove. The "tears" surface in the nostalgic synths, dark and hypnotic in atmosphere, while the breakdown introduces a pad he has carried inside himself for years and finally gave a home. Fitting his self-described Fast Dub Hypnotic Techno, the track keeps its low end steady and its arrangement patient, letting mood build over spectacle.
