Dirty Slippers
Three albums on Hungary’s album sales charts. Ten songs on radio charts. Sold-out shows in London and Newcastle. Dirty Slippers have built their international story through songs, stages and a belief that music can reach far beyond the speakers. Led by singer, guitarist and songwriter Lázár Lobó-Szalóky, the Hungarian indie-rock band combine British-influenced guitars, immediate melodies and emotionally charged choruses with the energy of a seasoned live act. Their achievements include becoming the first Hungarian band to top a UK radio chart, while repeated UK tours have brought their music directly to British audiences. Their international sound has taken shape at London’s legendary Abbey Road Studios, working with George Shilling, whose credits include Oasis, Blur, Primal Scream and Mike Oldfield, and Tim Palmer, known for his work with U2, Pearl Jam, Bon Jovi and David Bowie. These collaborations connect Dirty Slippers’ song-writing with the experience behind some of rock’s most enduring records. 'Wide Open', which originally premiered on Planet Rock, returns as the band prepares for their most ambitious chapter yet: their fourth studio album, scheduled for February 2027. Featuring ten tracks, it will be their first album recorded entirely in English, bringing their international vision into focus across a complete collection of songs. In 2024, Dirty Slippers celebrated their 15th Anniversary. The band has more than 2 Million views on YouTube, 100k streams on Spotify and 40k followers on social media sites!
