Kirsten Alting
“Gone” is a Country/Americana song about refusing to let other people’s opinions determine your worth or your future. It speaks to anyone who has ever been told they weren’t good enough, wouldn’t make it, or should simply give up and chooses to keep moving forward anyway. Blending Country and Americana with Irish/Celtic folk influences, “Gone” brings another side of Kirsten Alting’s sound to radio. A distinctive feature of the track is the Irish whistle, played by Kirsten herself, adding a Celtic edge to its roots-driven Country sound. The message feels especially fitting at this point in Kirsten’s career. Fresh from a successful four-week tour across the United States, Kirsten returned to Europe with new invitations to perform in the USA again in 2027. She is also currently a finalist for Female Artist of the Year at the 2026 Men’s Porch Legacy Awards in the UK. Sometimes the best answer to being told you’re not good enough is simply to keep going. “Gone” was written by Jessica Willis Fisher and is featured on Kirsten Alting’s 2026 album Tell It Like It Is.
