Dad Hats
Dad Hats is a five-piece rock band from Nashville, Tennessee, blending indie rock, emo and pop-punk with self-deprecating lyrics about adulthood, anxiety and the repetitive parts of everyday life. The band is Craig Turner on vocals, Zak Klaine on bass, Nate Sorg and Tyler Coleman on guitar, and Joe Halby on drums. Their third full-length album, wash. rinse. repeat., dropped October 23, 2026 through Mind Over Matter Records, following 2023’s Spill. Recorded at Costume Party Records in Nashville and mixed by James Paul Wisner, the 11-song album pairs alternate-tuned guitars and big melodic hooks with darker reflections on adulthood underneath the surface. The current release cycle includes the singles “hope ur down” and “goth boy scout,” an album release event on October 23, and the band’s annual holiday dog-charity show on November 20 (both in Nashville). The 11-song album will be available digitally, on vinyl and on CD.
