David O'Hara
At the age of 41 years old, David O'Hara finally decided to take the jump into writing and recording music from a standing start. Everything released so far has been written, recorded, performed and produced by himself in his "wee spare room" on a very modest home setup. For 21 years he worked in print, then moved into social care, and for a long time music was something he never thought he'd have the guts to try properly. But when his daughter Olivia came along, he wanted to show her that when her time comes, she shouldn't ever be scared to put herself out there. Basically, "if her auld Da can do it, so can she!" Musically, he is influenced by everything from Oasis, Dylan and The Beatles to The La's. Most of his writing comes from everyday life and the people around him with a bit of storytelling thrown in.
