The Chains feat. Peter Sandorf
The Chains go all in on Halloween season with "Caroline", a dark and spooky tale from the Danish ska powerhouse – now joined by Peter Sandorf on guitar and vocals, a Copenhagen legend and bandleader of Hola Ghost, formerly of Nekromantix. Out 30 October. This song is perfect for your Halloween music programming. B-SIDE: SE NU STIGER SOLEN (FOR TIM) (Ska / Instrumental). An instrumental take on what the band calls the saddest song they know: a hymn written in 1891 by Jakob Knudsen, set to a melody composed by Oluf Ring in 1915, and played at nearly all Danish funerals. The Chains dedicate "Se Nu Stiger Solen" to their friend and champion Tim Receveur, who passed away recently – honouring his work, his passion for bringing people together through music, and the legacy he left behind. The Chains are a high-energy ska and boss reggae band from Copenhagen, delivering infectious grooves, sharp songwriting and a raw, authentic edge. Rooted in Jamaican and UK influences, their sound hits hard from the first note. Since their debut in 2024, The Chains have built an international following and had massive international airplay with their singles "The Rent", "It Must Be Nice" and "California Sun" – and now they are ready to take you on a trip to the dark side.
